Fighting COVID with SEO Services – Boru Decor
Boru Decor contacted us back in May as they became aware of how badly COVID was damaging their footfall. As florists, they are more used to dealing with actual customers on their grounds outside Aughrim than virtual ones. While dealing with many customers who just wanted a bouquet or potted plant they specialize in funeral flowers and wedding flowers. They also were regularly decorating venues for any of the local hotels.
Luckily, Boru Decor had already invested in a Squarespace online flower shop and had most of their products up online. The problem they were finding was that their website was just not showing up in local searches. They are based in Wicklow and were planning to service Dublin, Carlow, and Wexford as well as Wicklow.
They came to us for a review and found what many new website owners find.
- Firstly their website wasn’t optimized.
- Secondly, they had no backlinks.
- Thirdly, they were putting too many main services on one page

We started by working on new content and optimizing the pages that were there presently. Altogether we have helped create 5 pages and made small adjustments to all other pages on the website. All the pages are optimized and the products are ongoing. We have also started the backlink campaign but only in a small way as it is important to get the website fully optimized. Going forward the backlinks will be the way to keep increasing the presence of the website on the search engines.
